OVERVIEW.
The research on this site covers mine and my late wife's family histories. Following the main lines backwards many hit brickwalls in the period 1770 to 1800.
However, in a few, we have managed to get back to around 1720 and in one line the Grangers back to ~1660. I should mention here that a lot of the early Granger research was done by Denis Granger and I have double checked his research. The main counties covered include Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. While, as I'm sure applies to other researchers, most of our families occupations are Ag Labs, Labourers, Shoe makers and FWK. However one family the Lineham's proved the exception and were attorneys, rate collectors, council clerks even a University professor but even they did not escape as, unfortunately one, was transported to Australia for embezzlement. As all family history researchers will know, family history is always "work in progress" and this site is no different.
On this web site I have only included Births/Baptisms, Marriages and Deaths/Burials.
